Nota d'usoL'aggettivo bello non corrisponde sempre all'inglese “beautiful”. Infatti, “beautiful” si riferisce per lo più a qualcosa di bello in senso estetico: una bella serata corrisponde a a beautiful evening, se si vuole indicare la bellezza del cielo, mentre se si vuole asserire che ci si è divertiti si può dire a good (o great) night. Bello si può quindi tradurre con aggettivi come “good”, “lovely”, “nice”, “great” in relazione a una bella esperienza: Abbiamo trascorso una bella vacanza, we had a lovely holiday (non we had a beautiful holiday); È proprio un bel libro, it's a really good book. -
